This Chevelle SS Restomod your about to see is BREATHTAKING!!!!!! How many opportunities do you get to purchase a One of a Kind Chevelle in this condition? This is your opportunity.

The Market: With the results in from the Barrett-Jackson, Mecum & Carlisle Auto Auction's (which I’ve attended) most muscle car enthusiasts will confirm that prices have remained STRONG, especially detailed cars. If you missed out on some of those cars, I think you'll be very interested in the HOT 71 Chevelle SS Restomod I designed.  There’s only a handful of Chevelles nationwide that would compete with this one. To say this over the top is an understatement!!!!!!

The Design: I think it's important when designing a Restomod not to get carried away. The trick is to make it look and handle different but not change it drastically.  I put a lot of thought into designing a custom classic car. I've always had a passion for Chevelles and wanted to design one that someone would look at and say this is the hottest Chevelle I've ever seen! That's how I came up with HOT 71. First, I wanted to start with a solid, nice, TRUE SS not a clone. I'm including pictures of this car prior to the frame off restoration. This was a local trophy winner before I began. The unique thing about this Chevelle is the undercarriage is original and very solid. It was a southern car. Before I restored the car I listed it for sale and I received an email from the owner who did the first restoration. I have a copy of that email. I wanted to choose a color combination that screamed attention. I went with Huggar Orange with a high gloss clear coat and white racing stripes and white interior. The racing stripes aren't just your normal stripes. They start in Metallic Silver and turn into flames over the white. It looks AMAZING!!!!!

To compliment the hood the valve covers, air cleaner, door panel emblems, pedals, license plate frame and floor mats have the matching flames. The flame theme is just enough to give the car its own character. The other unique exterior items include: chrome plated wiper arms, chrome washer motor cover and a chrome plated original Chevelle SS grill. This is the first chrome plated Chevelle SS grill I've ever seen. It was a difficult and expensive job, but looks spectacular! I also added Xenon headlights for improved night time visibility. They also give the front end a little extra touch. For the icing on the cake I wrapped the car with 20” chrome Foose Nitrous rims and Toyo tires. The rear is slightly staggered which give it the perfect stance. Under the hood of this incredible Chevelle is possibly the best engine compartment you may ever lay your eyes on! The attention to detail is unbelievable.  I decided to paint the engine compartment and undercarriage the same color as the exterior. I think it really adds a lot of depth. I also wanted a lot of chrome!! Even the engine compartment screws are chrome with the Chevy logo stamped on each one. The engine I wanted BUILT and BUILT it is!!!!  The engine is a 496 Stroker with 557 horsepower!!!!  It was built by A&R Racing in Warrenton, VA.  It's extremely POWERFUL and SOUNDS CRAZY out the Spin Tech mufflers. ( More details on the engine are listed below).  The undercarriage is also extremely detailed. As the pictures indicate this Chevelle had a true frame off, nut and bolt restoration. NO EXPENSE SPARED!!!! A lot of hours and money was spent on this car. I upgraded the brakes, rotors, suspension, rear end, transmission, etc. Again, I didn't go overboard because I wasn't building a car that belonged on the race track. The interior I also wanted to keep mostly original. The entire dash was fabricated with a coven custom dash panel with Phantom Autometer white gauges. The white and black interior looks very sharp. The white matches the stripes and the silver dash matches the names. EVERYTHING ON THIS CHEVELLE IS NEW!!!!!!!!!!

The Restoration: Again, this a REAL frame off restoration as the pictures indicate. The undercarriage and engine compartment was completed by well known Jeff Sommers and crew. The frame was completely sand blasted, primed and painted high gloss black with a durable finish. YOU CAN SEE YOUR REFLECTION IN IT!!!! The booth it was painted in is state of the art. The underside of the body was stripped, re-caulked, primed, sealed and painted the same color as the exterior. It looks AWSOME!!! Everything on the undercarriage and in the engine compartment was disassembled. All pieces were either completely redone or replaced with new. This was a TRUE NUT AND BOLT. The exterior was completed by well known Joe Jennings and crew. Joe was the bodyman who did the famous Eleanor I mentioned earlier.  Joe is the best of the best painters.  This is one of the most magnificent paint jobs I've ever seen.  It's extremely deep. The roof, quarters and trunk lid were sanded to bare metal.  The entire doors, fenders and hood are brand new. Everything was painted off-the car. The underside of the hood, fenders and the inside door shell was painted. We even went as far as painting the inside door pieces that hold up the glass, etc. :) Everything on the exterior is NEW! Not one thing was left untouched. The attention to detail is unbelievable. The interior was also completed by Joe Jennings. Although, Jeff Sommers installed the dash. Everything in the interior is NEW!!! It even smells new. We used sound deadener under the carpet to reduce cabin noise. The interior was also rewired for the new dash. The trunk was also banded down and repainted the correct color. All of the glass chrome trim is STUNNING. All the rubber is new. All the glass is new,,,etc,,,etc,,,etc,,,etc.

The Stereo System: This stereo system was designed by Twin City Electric in Fall River, Ma.  It consists of a Pioneer CD player, Infiniti speakers, Pioneers amps and a Pioneer Subwoofer.  The attention to detail is beautiful.  The entire trunk has been molded and carpeted WITH NO SCREWS IN SHEET METAL.  It even has a separate light that shines on the amps for car shows!
