1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350 Custom

This awesome 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback Shelby GT350 Custom was built with many upgrades to provide the ultimate driving experience.  MS CLASSIC CARS invested a total $36,201.88 in parts and labor above the initial restoration cost which is documented with an invoice.   As the VIN number indicates this car was born a 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback 289 4V V8 that was built in Dearborn, MI.  As the original Data Plate indicates this car was built February 18th, 1965 and shipped to Jacksonville, FL.  It was originally Prairie Bronze Metallic and had a white crinkle vinyl with palomino appointments standard interior.  From the information gathered this car spent its entire life down south and was the perfect car for restoration project.  Rather than restore it like it left the factory the decision was made to restore it like a Shelby GT350.  The 1965 Shelby GT350 is one of the most collectable classic cars of all time.  The original restoration turned out beautiful but MS CLASSIC CARS took this car to another level.  The body is straight and it has nice gap lines throughout.  It has a steel hood with a fiberglass hood scoop and billet hood pins.  It also has fiberglass side scoops.  It was painted in the correct Shelby GT350 colors of Wimbledon White with Guardsman Blue Le Mans racing stripes.  The stripes were painted and cleared over.  The blue Shelby GT350 lower stripes are stickers.  The paint is in overall beautiful condition and has been detailed to a show quality shine.  The front and rear tinted glass has been replaced new and all the side glass is original with minimal wear.  All of the window stainless trim has been restored.  The wipers, antenna, door handles, bumpers, tail light bezels and tail light lenses were also replaced new.  Its equipped with dual Shelby chrome mirrors, Shelby grille, LED headlights, Shelby GT350 gas cap and Cobra emblems.  The car sits on American Racing Torque Thrust 15 wheels with a gray center, polished lip and Cobra center cap.  The wheels are wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A tires that are 215-60-15 on the front and 235-60-15 on the rear.  The exterior is complemented with a new black interior.  Some of the new interior pieces include the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, dash pad, dash, gauges, dash hardware, door panels, door hardware, front seats with seat belts, rear seats with seat belts, door sills, carpeting and pedals.  Its equipped with a Shelby style dash pod with tachometer and oil pressure gauge, Lecarra wood steering wheel with Shelby GT350 horn button, correct shifter with 5-speed gear pattern knob, floor mounted chrome fire extinguisher with GT350 decal, Retro Classic Sound System and black carpeted Shelby floor mats.  Everything in the interior is in working order including the gauges, lights, stereo and heating system.  The trunk compartment was painted and dressed with a black carpeted Shelby trunk mat.  The engine compartment is highly detailed and was painted in the correct black finish.  Its equipped with a chrome strut tower brace and fender brace bar.  This car is powered by a David Lizard built 302 V8 that dyno tested at 431 HP with 365 FT-LB Torque.  The dyno sheet is included and pictured below.  The engine is a special memorial engine for David Lizards daughter, Jacque who sadly left us on July 31st, 2014.  David approached Terry Walters to help honor her memory be selling her own engine.  Details of the story and engine information is included and pictured below.  The engine is a late model roller block with DSS forged pistons, Comp hydraulic roller cam, Magnum pushrods, Crane gold race rockers, AFR Renegade aluminum heads and Edelbrock RPM Performer intake.  Other features include a Holley 4150 carburetor, MSD ignition system, Taylor Pro wires, aluminum wire looms, March pulleys, black Cobra valve covers, black billet air cleaner and Moroso oil pan.  Its equipped with a Milodon water pump, Tuff Stuff alternator, Tuff Stuff high performance starter and an Optima red top battery.  The engine is cooled by a Northern aluminum radiator with Flex-a-lite electric fan.  The radiator hoses have heat shrink clamps and a Mishimoto chrome overfill canister.  The engine breathes through Summit Racing ceramic coated headers and a side exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers.  This engine sounds absolutely amazing in person.  The engine is coupled to a new Tremec TKO 5-speed manual transmission.  This transmission shifts great and the hydraulic clutch is easy to operate.  The power is transferred to the pavement through the new Currie 9 POSI rear end with Moser axles and 3.50 gears.  The car handles very well with a new power steering system and new suspension system.  The car stops great with a Wilwood power braking system with four wheel disc brakes that consist of drilled rotors and red calipers.  It has a Lokar parking brake setup.  The undercarriage is nicely detailed and finished in the correct red oxide paint.  Everything has been restored or replaced throughout.  This car was just completed and has less than 100 miles since completion.  This car is show quality but was built to be enjoyed.  This car will be the center of attention wherever it goes.  This is a great opportunity to own a true American classic car that would outperform the original at a fraction of the price.
