This extraordinary 1969 Honda CL350 Scrambler Motorcycle was restored to concours show quality condition utilizing mostly OEM and NOS parts. The Honda CL series refers to a line of dual-sport motorcycles produced by Honda from the mid- 1960s. Often marketed as “scramblers” notable features of the CL-series include high-mount upswept exhausts, rubber fork covers and taller fenders. Honda produced the 350 Scrambler from 1968-1973. Honda advertised it as, “one of the sharpest Scramblers on or off the road”. “The Scrambler 350's great new OHC vertical twin engine produces 33hp @ 9500 rpm and delivers a top speed of up to 100 mph. It will take you through the quarter mile in an impressive 14.3 seconds. Another big performance feature is the constant-velocity twin carburetion for top performance at any altitude. The newest Honda styling includes two-tone colors, extra-long travel in front shock tubes, independently mounted tachometer and speedometer units, high handlebars, electric starting, front and rear directional signals, fully shielded high cross-over tuned pipes with new quiet muffler and rear view mirrors as standard equipment.” This example was discovered and purchased by Russell Molloy who lives in Harwich, MA. Russell has been collecting motorcycles for many years and is known for owning higher quality machines. Russell collaborated with friend and motorcycle restorer Paul Paddock to do a correct and show quality restoration. Paul lives in East Sandwich, MA and is known for his excellent work. Russell and Paul wanted to utilize as many OEM and NOS parts which takes a great deal of time and money. After countless hours and dollars the restoration was completed in 2024. Since completion it's been driven 71 test miles. Russell contacted MS CLASSIC CARS about purchasing it prior to offering it to the general public and Marc Schiliro jumped on the opportunity. MS CLASSIC CARS purchased it in October of 2024 and November of 2024 is the first time it's been listed for sale.

The entire motorcycle was completely disassembled to a bare frame. The frame was stripped and then powder coated black. It's equipped with a center and side stand. It's also equipped with new foot pegs. The OEM headlight bucket, front forks, 2.4-gallon fuel tank and side panels were painted in the correct colors of white and orange. The paint was purchased from Randy Marble who specializes in paint for restorations of vintage Japanese motorcycles only. The high quality paint was recently detailed to a glossy finish by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The fuel tank and side covers were decorated with Honda 350 emblems. All of the chrome was professionally re-chromed. The OEM cross-braced handlebar is mounted to the top triple clamp and supports the mirrors and levers. A set of NOS Nippon Seiki instrumentation was added consisting of a 110-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 10,500-rpm redline. The five digit odometer shows 71 miles. It's equipped with OEM turn signals on the front and rear. It was outfitted with OEM front and rear fenders. The fenders were dressed with NOS marker lights. The rebuilt suspension consists of a telescopic fork as well as dual shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is handled by front and rear drums that were completely rebuilt. The front brakes feature a twin leading-shoe design. The motorcycle rolls on OEM DID stamped 18” and 19” wheels that were completely restored including the new spokes. The wheels are wrapped with new Dunlop Gold Seal K70 3.25-19 tire on the front and 4.00-18 tire on the rear. The OEM seat was re-foamed and upholstered with a reproduction seat cover. It was setup with a complete new wiring harness.

The 4-stroke OHC 325cc parallel twin engine features dual Keihin carburetors. It was factory rated at 33 horsepower and 19 lb-ft of torque. The engine was completely disassembled and rebuilt including such items as the camshaft and pistons. The machine work was done by Bob Mason of Mason Racing located in North Situate, RI. The assembly was done by Paul Pagnozzi American V-Twin located in Brooklyn, CT. The engine starts and runs excellent. The engine breathes through the OEM high-mount chrome dual exhaust system. The power is sent to the rear wheel through a rebuilt 5-speed manual transmission. It's equipped with a multi-disc wet plate clutch.
