This authentic 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS “LS6” 454/450hp with 4-speed is fully documented and has been restored to high show quality standards. It was certified authentic by expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance on June 13th, 2023. The report and Certificate of Authenticity is included. This example is only one of 4,475 “LS6” models produced in 1970. The “LS6” is one of the most legendary American Muscle Cars of all time and is considered the “Holy Grail” by most collectors and enthusiasts around the world. As the original Trim Tag indicates this example was built in Baltimore, Maryland on the fourth week of December 1969. As the three original Build Sheets indicates it was ordered with a (28) - Fathom Blue exterior with white stripes and (791) - Ivory/White interior. The other options in order of code include: (A51) - strato-bucket seats, (D55)- console, (D88)- sport stripes, (F41)- special performance suspension, (G80)- positraction, (GY2)- 3.31 axle ratio, (J50) and (J52) – power front disc brakes, (LS6) -450-hp Turbo Jet 454 V8, (M22)- heavy duty 4-speed transmission, (N33)- tilt steering column, (PL4)- F70 x 14 RWL belted tires, (T60)- heavy duty battery, (UMI)- radio AM and tape, (U27)- glove box lamp, (V01)- heavy duty radiator, (ZL2)-special ducted hood and (Z15)- SS 454 package. This car was delivered to Etscovitz Chevrolet located in Fort Kent, Maine which is in zone #43 and dealer #171. As the original Protect-O-Plate and documents indicate it was sold on January 22, 1970 to Donald Marquis who lived in St. Augusta, Maine. Mr. Donald Marquis was in the service and was stationed to Ft. Benning, Georgia in 1977. This is documented with the original State of Georgia Certificate of Title that was issued on July 20th, 1977. The Georgia title and MV-1 form are both included. Donald sold the car to his brother-in-law in 1988. He was the owner and caretaker for the next 24 years before selling the car in 2012 on eBay. The description from eBay and some photos of the second owner with the car are included. From the information gathered the car was the product of a professional rotisserie nut and bolt restoration that was completed in 2021. The refurbishment resulted in a high show quality piece from top to bottom. It was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in November of 2024 and October of 2025 is the first time it's been listed for sale. MS CLASSIC CARS completely serviced and detailed the vehicle which is documented with an invoice. During the service process the engine, transmission and rear end were completely rebuilt. This is one of the best running and driving 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS models ever offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection!

The exterior of this car is absolutely stunning with its iconic factory design and striking original color combination. From the information gathered it retains all its original sheet metal. There was a minor amount of rust on the lower sections of the front fenders and rear quarter that was addressed during the restoration process. The body is very straight with excellent panel fitment throughout. The cowl induction hood mechanism is fully operational. The hood, doors and trunk lid close very nicely. The body was refinished in its original color of Fathom Blue with white racing stripes. The high quality paint is deep and glossy. A full paint correction was completed recently by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS resulting in a mirror finish appearance. The front windshield, door glass, quarter glass and rear windshield was replaced new. Every piece of glass has the correct style Safety-Plate stamps. Everything on the exterior has been restored or replaced such as the glass stainless trim, drip rail moldings, wiper arms, hood pins, front grill, headlight bezels, T-3 headlights, front bumper, wheel moldings, drivers side mirror, door handles, rear bumper and emblems. It has a great stance on the correct style 14” Super Sport wheel that are mounted to new Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 tires with white raised letters. The new tires were installed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS.

The interior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. It was restored in its original color combination of Ivory and White with bucket seats. This color really compliments the Fathom Blue exterior especially with the white stripes. Everything was restored or replaced new such as the headliner, sun visors, rear view mirror, gauges, heater control panel, steering wheel, door panels, window rollers, door handles, center console, bucket seats, rear bench seat, seat belts, pedals and carpeting. A new dash pad, horn bezel and console bezel were installed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. A new modern American Automobile Radio AM-FM Bluetooth radio with speakers and custom black SS 454 carpeted floor mats were also installed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The trunk compartment was nicely restored throughout. It was refinished in the trunk splatter paint and decorated with a correct style trunk mat. It's equipped with a matching 14” Super Sport wheel with new Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 tire and new jack tools. The new tire and tools were installed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. The firewall, inner fenders and radiator support were refinished in the correct shade of satin black. This car is powered by the original matching-numbers “LS6” 454/450hp V8 engine. This engine was removed and completely rebuilt in 2025 by NATS Engines located in Seekonk, MA. The engine casting is #3963512 and the date casting is #J179. The assembly date is #T1031CRV. The engine was rebuilt to LS6 specifications with more reliable parts. Some of those parts include a stock crank, H-Beam forged rods, Race Tech forged pistons, Comp Cam LS6 Nostalgia Plus, solid lifters with EDM oil holes and Comp roller tip rockers. It retains the original #291 cylinder heads, water pump and crankshaft pulleys. The original #8418 starter motor is dated 8L19. It also retains the original #4557 Holley carburetor dated 903 and Delco distributor dated 9H14. The engine was dyno tested with 512hp and 541 lb-ft. The dyno sheets and dyno video are presented in the gallery. The engine breathes through factory manifolds and new dual exhaust system. The engine is coupled to a replacement M22 HD 4-speed transmission with #661 case casting and #P1E06C assembly date. The transmission was completely rebuilt by George's Automotive Repair located in Coventry, Rhode Island. A new Ram Muscle Car replacement clutch was installed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The power is transferred to the original 12-bolt rear axle with #278NF cast L49 and #CRV1212B2 assembly date. The rear end was completely rebuilt including the center section with new 3.31 gears by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. Once again, this is one of the best running and driving 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS models ever offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection!

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. The underside of this car should be displayed with mirrors while on display. The original floors are in very good condition and were refinished in satin black. Everything was restored or replaced new such as the power steering system, suspension components, braking system and fuel system. It's equipped with the correct support brace bars for rear upper and lower control arms. The lower arms are boxed and the left rear control arm has the reinforced hole. The front lower A-arm bushings are round for big block. The master cylinder #5470409 is coded BB.
