1970 Carousel International Greyhound Styled Children's Ride

This exciting 1970 Carousel International Greyhound Styled Children's Ride is a one-of-a-kind. It was produced by the Carousel International Corporation of Eldon, Missouri in the 1970's and was later restored by Big Boy Toys of Oklahoma in 2025. The Carousel International Corporation was founded in St. Louis in 1968 and moved to Eldon in the 1970's. The company produced coin-operated children's rides for K-Mart stores before closing in 2007. This example was the product of a complete restoration resulting in a high show quality piece. The Greyhound fiberglass body is extremely straight throughout. It was refinished in the company colors of grey with black accents that were airbrushed for a realistic appearance. The seat was refinished in textured blue and trimmed in black. The automotive grade paint was detailed to a brilliant shine by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The grab handle sits ahead of the seat area and features a grip section wrapped in black leather with chrome accents. The motorized base features a fiberglass body finished in blue and accented with laser-cut aluminum “Go! Greyhound!” “10 cent” and greyhound logo graphics. Textured rubber step plates are located on either side of the base and feature polished trim. The motion is provided by a 1/3 horsepower electric motor and a 100-volt power cable. The ride utilizes a solid-state coin-operated mechanism that was installed during the restoration. An Eletech ride and sound control unit plays the Hank Snow song, “I've Been Everywhere” was installed at time of build. This is a must have piece! From the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.
