1999 Zamperla Good Humor Ice Cream Truck Custom Children's Ride – One of a Kind

This exciting 1999 Zamperla Good Humor Ice Cream Truck Custom Children's Ride has been restored to show quality standards. Zamperla started to manufacture coin-operated rides in 1998 and were the first manufactured in the main factory in Italy: Antonio Zamperla S.p.A. Around the same time Zamperla's other company in the Philippines: Zamperla Asia Pacific, Inc. (ZAP) which was founded in 1996 also started to manufacture coin-operated rides. Zamperla exhibited their coin-operated rides at various trade shows for several months and occasionally designs for new rides every year. This continued on until the mid-2000s, when all coin-operated ride manufacturing facilities was transferred entirely to the ZAP factory, making A.Z. S.p.A only manufacturing theme park rides and leaving ZAP to manufacture some theme park rides and all coin-operated rides. From the information gathered neither A.Z. S.p.A nor ZAP are no longer manufacturing coin-operated rides.

As the original manufactures tag indicates this example was built in December of 1999 and carry's serial number #KR109002. As the serial number indicates it was originally built as a Fire Truck which was model #WKR-109. This model was produced from 1998 to 2010 and was red in color. It's believed this was the second unit produced for the new model year based on the serial number. This example was found as an original 27-year old ride prior to the restoration which was completed in 2026. The vision was to create a one-of-a-kind piece of memorabilia and change the theme from a Fire Truck to a Good Humor Ice Cream Truck. During the restoration process the entire fiberglass body was stripped and made straighter then it was originally from the factory. It was refinished in automotive grade bright white paint. The show quality paint was recently detailed to a brilliant shine by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The windows and front outer grill were painted silver for a realistic appearance. The wheels were also painted silver and the tires were painted black. The body was decorated with painted with red and blue stars. The body was also decorated with decals for a realistic appearance. These decals include the front inner grill, parking lights, headlights, tail lights, Good Humor Ice Cream, Ice Cream bars, Stop Sign and Caution Sign. A plastic Ice Cream Cone was added to the rear which is the highlight of the ride. The white cabin is equipped with a black steering wheel, black upholstered seat cushion and black grip tape on the floor. The dash was outfitted with two authentic gauges with painted red bezels. During the restoration process the entire fiberglass base was also stripped and made straighter then it was originally from the factory. It was also refinished in automotive grade bright white paint. The base was decorated with Good Humor decals. The base is equipped with wheels on the rear for easier maneuverability. The ride has a push button start which is located in the cabin. The sound box is located in the rear of the base and plays music. There are 4 keys included for the two locking mechanisms. This ride has a new 110V power cord. This is a must have piece for any collection!
