This super cool 1972 Volkswagen Beetle Custom looks like a life size Hot Wheels with its unique design and styling. Volkswagen advertised the Beetle as “The Peoples Car” because it was affordable and practical enough for the people to own. From the information gathered this vehicle was restored in Southern California and completed in the early 2000's. This vision of the build was to create a one-of-a-kind Pro Street Beetle that would be a super version of the original. Since completion it's been the king of the road and admired by many. It was purchased by MS CLASSIC CARS in December of 2023. MS CLASSIC CARS performed a light restoration in January of 2024 and completed it in April of 2024. The odometer currently reads 14,568 but the true mileage is unknown. This is the first time it's been listed for sale.

The aggressive looking exterior draws a ton of attention with its strong demeanor. The body was outfitted with wide fiberglass fenders that are 2 ½” wider on the front and 4 ½” wider on the rear. The stylish body lines are very straight with very good panel fitment. It was re-painted in a deep shade of black and decorated with yellow, orange, red and blue flames. The flames grace the hood fenders and doors. The paint is in show quality condition with only a few minor imperfections as expected. The paint was recently detailed by the team at MS CLASSIC CARS. The front windshield was replaced new and all the rear glass is original with factory stamps. The factory door glass vents were removed and one piece door glass was added for a more streamline appearance. All of the glass is trimmed in black. Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced such as the wipers, extendable antenna, dual chrome mirrors, chrome headlight bezels, stainless side steps covers and all chrome handles. Some of the custom exterior features include Uni-shine LED Halo headlights, 1967 tail lights and Pro Street emblem on the engine grille cover. The car has a killer stance on Weld Racing Pro Star polished aluminum wheels with black center caps that are 15x5 on the front and 15x10 on the rear. The wheels are wrapped with brand new Hankook Kinergy ST tires that are 185-65-15 on the front and 295-50-15 on the rear.

The simple designed interior was completely gone through and is very specious throughout. The white headliner and sun visors in combination with the large windows crate a sense of openness in the cabin. The black painted dash houses the speedometer, oil temp gauge and Pioneer CD player. It was outfitted with new black door panels with arm rests and a set of new Cipher leather bucket seats with modern seat belts. The rear seat was upholstered which matches the front seats well. Some of the interior custom features include an Autometer tachometer, Grant 3-spoke steering wheel, Scat shifter with reverse lockout and leather boot, billet window cranks, aluminum pedals and Pioneer 6x9 speakers in carpeted box. The black painted front storage compartment has a new gas tank and carpeting.

The black painted engine compartment with red painted engine case is nicely detailed throughout. It's powered by the rebuilt 1915cc engine with stroker kit and 110 cam. The engine starts and runs excellent. It's equipped with an EMPI external oil filter, dual Kardon 40mm carburetors, dual chrome air cleaners, Pertronix electronic ignition, Bosch 009 distributor, Scat bottom pulley and chrome top pulley. The engine breathes through a new IPA Performance GT Style chrome 2-tip exhaust with built in header. This exhaust provides a deeper and throatier sound. The engine is coupled to a rebuilt 4-speed manual transmission with Stage 1 clutch. The clutch is easy to operate and the transmission shifts smoothly.

The black painted undercarriage is very clean throughout. The pan was undercoated for durability and looks nice. The steering system, suspension system and braking system was completely gone through. It's equipped with 2 ½ CB dropped spindles and rear air shocks. The brake drums were drilled to Chevrolet bolt pattern with studs pressed in.

This car is very exciting not only from a visual perspective but also from a driving perspective. It's extremely user-friendly and will bring smiles for many more miles.
