This unique Willys, affectionately called Swoopster was the first completed by designer and builder Dennis Taylor of Dennis Taylor Reproductions. It was originally designed and custom built from a standard coupe body with many innovative modifications. Some unique body modifications include a removable hardtop, Mini Cooper headlights, concealed flush mounted tail lights and a rotating electric license plate. The body is laser straight with excellent panel fitment. It was painted Lamborghini Yellow with custom graphics that have over 20 colors and many hidden images. The inner fenders were smoothed and painted along with the entire undercarriage. The paint is truly stunning from top to bottom. It sits on Billet Specialties wheels that are 18x7 on the front and 22x10 on the rear.
The interior is amazing with many custom upgrades. The smooth dash with white face gauges and center console flow together. A hidden drop panel under the dash houses the ignition, switches, stereo and DVD system. The custom seats, fiberglass door and floor panels are covered in leather, suede and ostrich.
The rear trunk compartment matches the interior and has a 24 LCD monitor for the DVD system.
The engine compartment is highly detailed with many upgrades. Its equipped with a Street and Performance built LS1 350 crate engine with aluminum heads. Everything is concealed beautifully. The engine is cooled an aluminum radiator with electric fans. It breathes through ceramic headers and a Flow Master polished exhaust system. The engine is coupled to Street and Performance built 4L60E transmission and fully chromed Ford 9 posi rear end with 3.89 gears.
The body sits on a tig welded stainless steel boxed frame that was smoothed and painted gun metal gray.
The suspension system consists of a custom Mustang II based front end, Aldan chromed shocks, full Air Ride technology system with 6 drop and lift, chrome A arms and traction bars. It has Wilwood four wheel disc brakes with polished calipers and drilled and slotted rotors.
This Swoopster has been used as a promotional vehicle for multiple advertisements and was sponsored by Meguiars. Its also won tons of awards from major car shows such as Goodguys, NSRA, Super Chevy, ESPN2 and DUBS. This is the first its been offered for sale since it was sold the first owner. This is truly one of the best.
